Limes Back to List
Very few of the limes we consume in this country are produced domestically; most of the limes we use are imported from Mexico. Mexico has massive production, year round supply and excellent quality.

Look for limes that are smooth and shiny, with nice green skin color which also feel heavy for their size. Limes are a tropical fruit and should not be stored below 50 degrees F. Limes are an excellent source of fiber and vitamin C.

Use limes to add flavor to chicken or fish, as a salt substitute, or as a refreshing complement to many beverages.
